Why study nursing at UAlberta?

Ranked as the second best nursing Faculty in Canada by QS World University Rankings, we play a leading role in the education of tomorrow's nurses. As one of the largest nursing faculties in the country, we are one of only six in Canada to offer a full range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

  • Our undergraduate programs are accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, are NEPAB approved, and we are unique as the only Canadian member of the Hartford Centers for Gerontological Nursing Excellence.
  • Our students receive hands-on laboratory experiences throughout the program using advanced learning methods and equipment, including cutting-edge patient simulation technology in the Nursing Simulation Centre.
  • Faculty members are leaders in nursing research and you will study in an environment where it is possible to become involved in the development of new nursing knowledge.
